XML Working Group
The XML Working Group has developed XML schemas based upon the ISA-88 and ISA-95 families of standards. The XML schemas are known as:
Both markup languages consist of W3C (World Wide Web Consortium, www.w3c.org) format XML schemas and documentation. Both markup languages provide an excellent tool in implementing the popular ISA standards.
Companies are free to use the markup languages free of charge, including customizing and extending them.
BatchML and B2MML have been developed by a volunteer effort of WBF's XML Working Group. Membership in the working group is open to everyone.
Current membership includes representatives from a broad range of industries, not just batch processing. For information in joining the working group contact Dave Emerson.
The WBF would like to thank Altova for the donation of their MissionKit product to the XML Technical Advisory Committee (xTAC). This donation enables xTAC members to utilize leading XML software technology in the development and maintenance of B2MML and BatchML.
